How It Works

Type in the total you've wagered on Stake, or pick your level and progress, and you'll see where you stand, what's left to the next level and roughly what it costs to get there with the games you play.

Higher RTP = Lower Cost
Dice and blackjack lose you less per dollar wagered
Lower RTP = Higher Cost
Slots cost more per level but swing harder

How Stake VIP levels work

Stake ranks players by one number: the total amount you've ever wagered. There are 15 levels, starting at Bronze once you've wagered $10,000 and ending at Obsidian at $1 billion. Every bet counts toward the total at its full size, whether it's a slot spin, a hand of blackjack or a sports bet, and the total never resets, so a level you reach is yours to keep.

Stake.us runs the same ladder with the same thresholds, counted in Stake Cash. That's why this one calculator covers both: enter your Stake Cash wagered as if it were dollars and the results line up.

Level-up bonus amounts are the typical figures players report. Stake sets the real amount per account, so yours may differ.

To see how far through a level you are, take what you've wagered since the last threshold and divide it by the size of the gap. With $75,000 wagered you're past Silver ($50,000) and heading for Gold ($100,000): $25,000 into a $50,000 gap, so you're halfway, with $25,000 left to go. The calculator does this for you.

What each level gets you

  • Bronze and up: rakeback on every bet, the weekly and monthly bonuses, and a one-off bonus each time you level up.
  • Silver and up: those bonuses start growing with your level.
  • Platinum I and up: daily reloads, the perk most mid-level players chase.
  • Platinum IV and up: reloads keep running while you're active, and you can arrange weekly reloads with a VIP host.
  • Diamond and Obsidian: custom benefits on top of everything else.

The weekly and monthly bonuses grow with your level and with how much you've played recently. Rakeback stays at 3.5% of the house edge at every level, so on a slot with a 4% edge every $1,000 you wager returns about $1.40.

What it really costs to level up

Wagering $10,000 doesn't cost you $10,000. On average you lose the house edge on each bet, so the expected cost of a level is the wager you still need multiplied by the edge of the game you play. Here's what that looks like for the $250,000 it takes to reach Platinum I from scratch:

Blackjack, basic strategy (0.5% edge)
about $1,250
Dice (1% edge)
about $2,500
A typical 96% RTP slot (4% edge)
about $10,000
Sports bets at standard odds (roughly 4-5% edge)
$10,000 to $12,500

These are averages. Over a short stretch you can finish well ahead or well behind, and slots swing far more than dice or blackjack. A VIP level is never worth playing more than you planned to: the rewards give back a slice of what you lose, not more than it.

Stake VIP questions

How does the Stake VIP calculator work?

Enter the total you've wagered on Stake, or your current level and progress percentage. The calculator places you on Stake's VIP ladder, shows how much more you need to wager for the next level, and estimates what that wager costs on average for the games you play.

How many VIP levels does Stake have?

Fifteen: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum I to VI, Diamond I to V, and Obsidian. Bronze starts at $10,000 wagered and Obsidian at $1 billion.

How much do you need to wager for Platinum on Stake?

Platinum I starts at $250,000 in total wagers. The six Platinum levels run from $250,000 up to $10 million for Platinum VI.

Does Stake VIP progress ever reset?

No. Your level is based on everything you've ever wagered, so it only goes up and you keep a level once you reach it.

Does this calculator work for Stake.us?

Yes. Stake.us uses the same 15 levels and the same thresholds, counted in Stake Cash. Enter your Stake Cash wagered as if it were dollars.

Do all games count toward Stake VIP?

Yes. Slots, Stake's own games, live tables and sports bets all add their full bet amount to your total. What changes between games is how much you lose on average along the way.

What's the cheapest way to level up on Stake?

Play games with a low house edge. Reaching Platinum I from zero costs about $1,250 on average with basic-strategy blackjack or $2,500 on dice, against about $10,000 on typical slots. Those are averages, and no level is worth playing more than you'd planned to.

Where do I find my total wagered?

Open the menu under your username on Stake and choose Statistics. Your total wagered is shown there, and the VIP page shows your level and progress bar.
