Slot Statistics 2026: What 521 Million Real Bets Show

Wanted Dead or a Wild was the most played slot of the year so far, with 6,063,998 bets, just ahead of Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. The top 10 games took 15.7% of every slot bet we logged and the top 100 took 48.6%, which left the other 10,381 slots to share the rest.

To compare like with like, we looked only at the four casinos we tracked all year: Gamdom, Roobet, Rainbet and Shuffle. Between March and October, Pragmatic Play's share of slot bets there rose from 43.1% to 49.4%, while Hacksaw Gaming fell from 23.3% to 19.0% and Nolimit City from 10.4% to 8.0%. ELK Studios was the fastest riser, from almost nothing (0.08%) to 1.5%.

15 of the 25 most played slots of 2026 are a newer version, sequel or spin-off of an earlier game from the same studio, and they took 62.4% of all the bets on the top 25. 7 of them are max-win editions: the 1000, 2500 and Super Scatter versions of older Pragmatic Play hits.

Put an original next to its newer version and the newer one usually wins by a distance. Over the last 30 days, Sugar Rush 1000 drew 6.6 times the bets of the original Sugar Rush, and Madame Destiny Megaways drew 35 times the original. It isn't automatic, though. Big Bass Bonanza 1000 only matched the original (1.0x), and The Dog House from 2019 still drew 2.0 times the bets of The Dog House Megaways 1000.

Across every version of Sugar Rush we track, the 2022 original took just 9.7% of the bets this year. The first Gates of Olympus took 13.3% of its family's.

Sweet Bonanza 2500 had the strongest launch of the year: 3.2% of every slot bet we logged in its first 30 days, and it was still the number 3 slot in October. Most strong launches didn't last. Big Bass Raceday Repeat was the third best launch and sat at number 342 by October, and Junkyard Kings 2 went from a top-10 launch to number 1,963.

497 new slots launched at the casinos we track between mid-February and late July. 105 of them made our weekly top 100 at least once, but only 21 were still there eight weeks after launch.

The biggest single win we logged this year was $18,146,506 on Paperclip Gaming's Sky Drop at Stake on Oct 18, 2026, from a $12,013 bet that hit 1,511x. 8 of the 10 biggest wins were at Stake, most of them from bets of $1,000 or more.

The biggest multiplier was a full 500,000x max win on Valkyrie's Odin's Vault at Stake on Sep 16, 2026: a $0.80 spin that paid $400,000. 9 of the 10 biggest multipliers were a slot's full max win, and 7 of them came on Stake Engine games, the slots built for Stake by outside studios.

Across 260,484,454 slot bets, 33.9% paid something back, even if it was less than the stake. One spin in 4.5 paid at least double, roughly one in 50 paid 50x or more, and one in 2,550 hit 1,000x.

Low and very high volatility slots paid something back on almost exactly the same share of spins, about a third. Where volatility shows is the top end: low volatility slots hit 1,000x once every 17,240 spins, high volatility slots once every 1,960. Very high volatility games landed in between (1 in 3,169), a reminder that the label is a studio's description, not a promise.

Of the three biggest studios, Hacksaw Gaming hit 1,000x most often, once every 2,009 spins, against 1 in 3,159 for Nolimit City and 1 in 4,064 for Pragmatic Play. Among the ten most played studios, Push Gaming came out on top at 1 in 1,879.
